Corundum, or aluminium oxide, is a universal abrasive used among other things for removing paint and rust and roughening surfaces. Garnet is a reusable abrasive used mainly for removing rust and paint. You will also find shardblast, ecoblast and a soda blasting medium whose low hardness makes it suitable for many applications. Choose the medium that suits your material and blasting equipment.
