Bottoming holes

This category contains machine taps for cutting threads in blind holes, meaning holes that do not go all the way through. The taps are made of high-quality high speed steel (HSS) with 5% cobalt. The cobalt provides a very high hardness, so that steels that are difficult to machine can also be tapped.

The machine taps are made to DIN371C and DIN376C and are available in metric sizes, both small and large. They are made by Labor and are intended for metalworking in the workshop. The same Machine taps section also offers taps for through holes and fully ground taps for blind holes.
