A pump control switches the pump on and off automatically according to pressure and water demand; two versions with different protection ratings are available. A level switch, or float switch, controls the pump based on the water level in a well or tank. You will also find York-type foot valves in 1.5, 2 and 3 inch that stop the suction line from draining.
