For places without mains power, such as campsites and recreational boating, there are lightweight plastic bilge pumps running on 12V and 24V DC. You will also find 230V submersible pumps in various power ratings, from 0.1 to 0.55 kW. Several models have a float switch, so the pump switches on and off automatically. There are water-cooled versions with an aluminium housing for continuous use and a dirty water pump for contaminated water. This way you can choose the pump that suits the volume of water and the application.
