Open jaw slogging spanners
An open jaw slogging spanner is made specifically for heavy work. You place the open jaw on the nut or bolt and strike the impact face with a hammer. This transfers far more force than an ordinary open-ended spanner, which helps with large and seized connections.
This category offers XPTools open jaw slogging spanners made of chrome vanadium steel to DIN 133. The range starts at 24 mm and runs through many intermediate sizes up to 85 mm. An open jaw is useful when you cannot reach the nut from above.
These spanners are intended for steel construction, machine building, shipping, agriculture and maintenance of heavy installations. For closed versions, see the ring slogging spanners.
